DIRECTORS’ MEETING 3-8-05

No Wake: Stu has been meeting with various groups (Hoofers, U.S. Power Squadron) and collecting petitions. We need more signers from lake front property owners. The DVD of boaters on Squaw Bay on a Sunday afternoon is good and available. Safety is our main issue. Tom will contact Graf and Eggert for a meeting and Dan will also attend.

Street Flooding and Repair: The City Engineer should address the extent of repair needed especially on Pocahontas. We can then go to the City Council with our request. We could immediately request a higher priority for street repair in our neighborhood.

Lake Levels: Larry intends to continue to press for a protocol for determining the levels for the spring.

Membership and Boundaries: We decided to keep the name, Belle Isle Neighborhood Association. We will continue to have no set boundaries and the membership will be open to residents and property owners.

Picnic: A summer picnic is acceptable. Organizers are being sought.

Dredging was felt to be important. Some progress in gathering information has been made by Sam Rassmussen.

The next Board meeting is scheduled for April 13, 2005.
